Pachyderm Issues

Hi everyone,

I am posting to find out how you are all doing with using Pachyderm. Has anyone had problems previewing their pages from home?

I spoke to Rachel (my contact who is helping us with Pachyderm) and she wasn't sure why the majority of the class wasn't able to preview their Pachyderm pages last Tuesday night. She said the previewing problem is random. All templates have that problem from time to time.

One option is to "publish" the page, which is an option on your templates. That way you will be able to see what you have authored in Pachyderm.

Please reply to this messages with any information about how you are doing with using Pachyderm. Your feedback will be helpful for me so that I can keep relaying it back to Rachel.

Thank you!
anne

I did not have any problems in manipulating Pachyderm. I was able to choose the "hot" templates and once edited to preview them. The only question I had was when you link your main page to another template page, are you able to click through to it in the "preview mode"? There is a comment at the bottom next to the "resume authoring" that says something to this extent. I just wanted to make sure that I was understanding it properly and not having a preview gliche.

Anne,

I have used it a little and the preview is working fine so far. I will be doing more later tonight.

Hey,

I just played around with pachy more and it seems to be working fine. It isn't the prettiest presentation, but I've published my first presentation:

We'll see if people can see it.

Anne,

So far I'm not having any problems at all working on pachyderm, and it did work on my laptop once I downloaded the ActiveX.

Sara - Yes, you should be able to click through to the other linked templates in the preview mode. It can be kind of touchy though. Make sure you hover your mouse over the link until it "bubbles up" from the page then click on it. Please let me know if that works.

Brian - I was able to preview your first pages in Pachyderm. They look good! The only thing was that some of the text was cut off under Rick Lowe's photo on the second template. Not sure why.

I had several problems with Pachyderm. Although I was able to log in, I could not preview my work, and then the system would take me out of the presentation. I lost several times what I had worked in.
